Senior Java Developer, Tech Solutions

Job Description

Our client is a US-based travel-tech company that provides a booking engine. They create custom travel booking software for some of the largest brands in travel and financial services. The team is working on the development of the new cloud-based search and booking platform featuring hotel reservations, ground transportation, flights, and ancillary travel product using modern best practices (AWS-based event-driven microservices, Docker, Kubernetes)

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial experience in Java development
• Experience in designing, developing, and supporting high-load RESTful applications based on a microservice architecture
• Experience creating scalable applications in a cloud environment
• Expertise in building microservices/RESTful APIs with Spring Boot
• Experience with basic AWS services (ELB, EC2, S3, SNS, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB)
• Experience with RDBMS
• Experience with event-based architectures
• Deep understanding of quality standards and unit testing
• Working experience in Agile/Scrum/Kanban environments
• Spoken English

Nice to Have

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes
• Experience with Java build and packaging tools (Gradle, Maven)
• Experience working with PostgreSQL database
• Experience with Memcached/Redis
• Experience with ElasticSearch/Solr
